Universal Music Group (UMG), Warner Music Group (WMG), and Sony Music filed landmark lawsuits against AI music services Suno and Udio. The lawsuits allege massive copyright infringement, claiming that these services have used unlicensed sound recordings to train their AI models without permission. This legal action represents a significant step in protecting the rights of artists and ensuring ethical development of AI technologies within the music industry.

Exciting news! Community member Asa T. Weeks will be performing live with a full band on August 1, 2024. The event, titled "MUSIC IN MOTION," will take place at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater in Downtown Frederick. The performance starts at 5 PM, and tickets are just $6 at the door. Please note that the event is 21+ to enter, with drinks and food available on-site.
